Cut Outs + Applique - Prom Dresses

Seems like cut outs are hitting the ready-to-wear runway these past couple of seasons, and now I'm seeing a lot of cut-out-inspired looks in prom dresses, presented to you by EricDress: definitely my favorite style right now. Last season, there were lots of dresses with high-low hem lines and of course, there are the shorter prom dresses: equally beautiful. But anyway, here are some of my favorite longer cut-out dresses:
A lot of these dresses are quite cheap, considering how much bead work and details are put into the design: for example, this is probably my favorite. I actually have a shirt similar to the grid design over and it's incredibly unique. The Grecian vibe of the dress bottom complements the top amazingly.
While this dress is a lot more modest, there's a respectable elegance about it, especially seen with the cap sleeves. As you'll notice a lot of the dresses I am showing band in at the waist, an element that never gets old, I guess. But back to this dress and the stunning butterfly applique, the focal point of the dress. The top portion is such a cool, nontraditional design that looks great with typical elements like its long flowy bottom and classic deep red color.
In my opinion, you can never go wrong with a sophisticated and tasteful dress like this: the royal/ cobalt blue color, elegant floral applique, and subtle sparkle. Plus, I am such a huge fan of the illusion of floral details over a more transparent or nude fabric. Most girls would go for this type of dress, and I can definitely see why. It's stunning.

Shopping and looking for the perfect prom dress has become a rite of passage for our generation of high school girls. Hopefully my selection of favorites was slightly help and make sure to check out EricDress for more options. Good luck on scoring your perfect dress!
