Summer 2013: Pastel

I am a huge sucker for pretty pastel dresses this summer, well, who isn't? Here are some of my favorite as of right now, and honestly, the colors of all of these are just so stunning. Let's begin!

One shoulder dresses are always comfortable to wear: there's no fuss with straps and no need to worry if its going to fall off like strapless dresses. The sheer chiffon fabric of this dress is also perfect for outdoor occasions like a summer wedding, because of its loose and flowiness that will just glide along the wind. A very romantic look. Also the color is absolutely beautiful, reminds me of a cheerful, yummy lemon meringue pie. Plus yellow is a stunning color on most skin tones, or so I hear.

Okay, can we talk about how beautiful this color is? It is so fresh, young, and flirty. It is the perfect day time dress for a summery event. The band of the dress is placed strategically to give some of us less curvy women more shape in our body. The cut of the overlay on the dress is also super flattering and I can just tell it gives the entire dress great body and lots of movement.

This one is quite a plain dress, but its simplicity is what really caught my eye. I mean it is a basic long v-cut dress with a flowy bottom, but it looks so glamorous, especially with a statement necklace like the one the model has on in the photo. Or of course statement earrings or both like the model is wearing. Like the two other dresses shown, this dress would be so perfect outdoors with a breeze. Just look at the movement this dress can have with the help of some wind. I also think this dress would be perfect for more of those evening events, like a wedding reception. It'd look so great with a nice hard stone clutch as well.

Of course when you're writing about pastels, you have to include a light purple, lavender color, and with good reason too. Just look at this dress. Although this dress is rather plain and doesn't exactly have that glamour effect like the last dress, but it is definitely fresh and fitting for younger girls. And in all honesty, the stunning color itself has won me over. You can definitely dress it up way more with sparkly nude heels and big statement earrings!
