An Olive Autumn

A huge trend this fall is military colors, camo prints, parkas, everything from forest green to olive green. I love the simple style of this top, and it completely embodies the typical fall colors.

Colors of Autumn: Burgundy

Last night, I had a dream that I thrifted an American Apparel 3D rose sweater, and I was the saddest when I woke up. That's when you knooww you have an obsession. And now, you guys are probably thinking hmmm I'm kind of wanting one too. Well I looked into some MUCH cheaper options, and there are a BUNCH on ebay, so I would recommend that, but anyways, back to dreaming.

Actually, back to this post. I'm doing another one of those Colors of Autumn post. You can see my previous one on the color tan right here. But, Burgundy: An extremely popular fall collar. You're seeing them on bloggers just about everywhere. I haven't been able to shop for this fall trend yet, but I'm looking for some nice burgundy sweaters, like this sheep one below. So cute!

And congratulations to the winner of my Untitled Label giveaway, Paulina Briones. I've already contacted you. (:

Denim Lace

I guess winter has arrived, in storm clouds. We didn't even really get a fall, with pretty leaves and nice cool weather. Sigh. This was taken before the sun deserted us, and it was still warm to have bare legs.
I know a lace dress is pretty summery, but pair it with a denim shirt, and it looks much more fall appropriate!

Painting the Roses Red

Remember in Alice in Wonderland, when the Red Queen had the playing cards paint all the white roses in the garden red? I loved Alice in Wonderland and especially that scene. Doesn't this outfit remind you of that, with the white roses and bright red shorts? Makes me love this outfit ten times more.
PS. Can you believe I thrifted these distressed studded shorts? Crazyyy I know! They're a little big, but nothing a belt can't fix!

Colors of Autumn: Tan

Bright red, orange trees color the sky, the smell of hot tea, hot chocolate, hot anything, pumpkins on front porches, in pies and in candle form. These are just some of the things that remind of this glorious time we call autumn. So in celebration of fall's arrival (for most of you, it probably started in August), I decided for the next 7 weeks (I wanted to do a month, because it sounds cooler but I had so many fall colors I wanted to do, I was like whatever, we'll make it 7 weeks, so that's until the end of November) every Friday I will have a color coordinated want list consisting of both designer and affordable items, to get us more fall-inspired.
Today I present you with a great color, especially for fall, and that works so well in layers. It's the perfect fall color to replace the summer whites, neutral yet crisp and chic. TAN!

Where Are You, Fall?

My favorite topic to talk about (seriously)! California's crazy weather. I really thought it would start cooling down since the weekend was a bit breezier compared to the 80 90s degree, but nope! This week, it'll still be in the 80s and 90s. Crazy? I know. But today, I wore a ..kind of fall-appropriate outfit for those of you well into fall and winter. I incorporated this deep forest green, one of fashion's favorite fall color, cardigan that I thrifted for only four dollars!! It's super soft and I'm so glad I picked it up.

Watercolor

I think there is some rule out there that says every mom's closet must have a couple hidden gems in there, no matter what you think of your mom's taste in clothing. You will find a piece that you will completely fall in love with, and wonder why she doesn't wear this like every single day.
This beautiful watercolor-looking cardigan with mismatched buttons is exactly like for me. I went wiiilld when I first found it hidden in the back of my mom's closet; I think you can see why. The pattern looks so unique, and just yells vintage. When I first rediscovered it, I instantly thought of so many ways on how to wear this, so you will definitellyy be seeing this cardigan in the future.
Today I decided to keep it as the focal point in the outfit, buttoning it up all the way and pairing it with a black collar to prep-ize it and a mini black skirt. Tell me in the comments if you've ever found any amazing pieces in your mother's closet!

Good Looks

Last week was soooo hot, and I got an extra chance to wear crop tops and shorts. I wore this white crop top that has Good Looks printed on it. I thought it was pretty cool. I paired it with neutrals: black shorts, tights, a cool mustache necklace, and my super dirty (sorry about that!) purple flats for just a teeeny bit of color.

Citrus Colored Shorts

The last time I wore this Oasap top (you can see that post here) I wore it with a bright pink and black striped skirt. This time I decided to pair with colorful tangerine shorts. I tend to pair crisp whites with bright fun colors because it makes the whole outfit look very fresh and clean.

Striped Uniform

We don't actually have uniforms at my school, which I am so thankful for, but because I wear the same cardigan + tshirt + leggings look over and over again, I almost consider it my uniform. Or as Kryz from Kryz Uy calls it, my formula for a comfy outfit.

The Gradient Effect

I've been wearing so much blues and greens, I was like I should probably throw in some different colors..
Recently, I thrifted this incredible sweater, that features a gradient pattern going from a deep red/burgundy, a color perfect for fall, to a solid black. I continued the gradient with my black shorts and black flats. This is one of my favorite looks, because of its comfy factor and how amazing it looks. I got a whole bunch of compliments at school!
