Minted Gold

Sometimes, you get those great outfits where you put a lot of effort into and it turns out exactly the way you pictured it. Today was one of those outfit days, where I felt everything was just very put together.
I decided to work with mint, a really trendy color, and black, a very essential, what one would consider a staple color. I love the gold details like the accent necklace, taking a darker minty turquoise color, and the gold pieces of the mint and black bracelets.

Ships

Friendship bracelets! I recently tried to make my own, and trust me, you don't want to see those. Luckily, Chloe from Pieces and Chloe sent me some absolutely beautiful ones. Believe me when I tell you that these are freaking amazing quality. They won't be coming apart any time soon. You can just seeee the incredible effort put into these. It's incredible; I love such well made, (and handmade!) pieces! So please do send some love her way!
Also, there's a little preview of my next outfit, but stay tuned for the full post in two days.

In a Preppy World

I'm a preppy girl, in a preppy worrlldd. Cough, was that me... sorry.
I really like this outfit that I wore sometime last week. My friends thought it was weird that I buttoned up every last button on my blouse, but I am completely in love with the preppy style, and I am just buttoning everything up to the top. They also thought it was weird that I put on the jacket, said it was taking away from the top, but frankly, I think it makes the look every preppier. Plus, I love how the bit of turquoise peeks through the cuffed sleeves.

Crewneck Weather

Crewnecks are so incredibly comfy for cold fall mornings, and adding a collar can make you like instantly put together. So I love wearing this black collar together with my favorite crewneck. The best part about the crewneck is that I got it at a thrift store for a whopping $5!

Wanted: Nude Studded Flats

I decided to do another "Wanted" post (links to my other ones: Tea Party Dresses & Sheer Blouses), but this time on FLATS! Yay, I love flats so much, and I've been thinking about buying some, searching far and wide. Flats are undoubtedly comfortable and convenient to slip on, yet can make you look very put together. Nude shoes. Need I say anymore? I think they're very classy, and go with absolutely everything.
Now, nude flats have been around for a while. Nothing new, nothing special, but what I've been seeing a lot of are studded shoes. Studs everywhere: on sneakers, on loafers, on ballet flats. So here are some of my favorites:

One. Very simplistic. Exactly what I've been craving: nude studded flats, and for sooo cheap ($19). You really can't beat that. By the way, all these flats are under $30, which is absolutely amazing. I've seen a lot of the toe cap flats around, and studs are another alternative to add some metal.

Two. OHMIGOSH THESE SHOES. Let's just take a moment, a long moment to fully appreciate these babies. They're so beautiful, I want to cry. Don't you? The square studs are a much classier approach to the stud look, and the pointed toe makes it even more appropriate for, say, a fancy brunch.

Three. Drool with me? I think we should all get some suede nude booties. I have never had lace up shoes, minus my converse, and I'm just dying to get some now. They look so fun and cute.
Well, that's enough of my obsessing over nude studded flats.

Summertime Coral

I hate how grim the morning weather is. You look outside and the sky is just depressing, makes you want to go back to sleep. But in the afternoon, the sky completely brightens up. It's crazy, so I'm always freezing in the morning, but it's completely worth it when the sun comes out. We're still wearing tank tops here in California, so I wore this coral (you guys don't understand how beautiful the color is, it is stunninngg) tank top from a cute Etsy shop called The Printed Palette. They have a ton of designs to choose from, and also do custom tshirts and tank tops. My necklace is from Foxy Originals, and adds a more dressed up feel to this super casual outfit. (Direct links to these items are always at the bottom.)

Tough Love

Lately, all I want to do is read: read books that I enjoy. Unfortunately, school is so time consuming, I barely have time to even sleep well. Sigh, someone tell me how to manage time.
Anywayyys, my mom bought me this sweater. I thought it was a bit girly with the sparkly bows, so I paired it with my leather skirt, and the same ol' flats. Something tells me it is about time I get some new shoes. I was thinking some simple black flats to wear with everything, and Keds, maybe.

Patches of Green

Did I ever tell you guys that my favorite color is green? And as you can see, there's just so much green in these pictures. It's greaaat. Let's just start with this crazy printed top, and when I mean crazy, I really do mean crazy. It mashes together two lovely patterns: a squiggly line pattern and a pattern of crescent shapes. I pulled out the white with a single accessory, my new bow necklace from Fr33na's etsy shop. She sells all kinds of bow accessories. I'm sure most of you girls would just die over them, so definitely check her shop out!
