Those Rainy Days

Simple, comfortable outfit for those darn rainy days, utilizing solid basic colors, a vibrant blue, black, and white. How's everyone's week going? Mine's been super busy, since badminton season has officially started. Yes, of course, I'm asian. I play badminton. Surprise, surprise. Haha. Anyway, enjoy!

New In: Skirts

Sorry for the lack of actual outfit posts lately. Somehow my schedule for taking outfit pictures got a little jumbled and smooshed into no time at all. But I recently bought some colorful skirts, which you will see in an upcoming post. Some of you may be familiar with my black ruffled skirt, and I had no idea these were the exact same style as the one I owned. However, I picked them up anyway, one in yellow and another in orange, considering it was five dollars each at Burlington coat factory! I never thought about shopping there. Anyway, very thrilled to mix in some new colorful pieces into my closet!

I was browsing and... (February Wishlist)

I seriously died from looking at this adorable furry baggy sweater (link). Like, tell me that is not the most amazing sweater everr. I dare you. So edgy with a pair of ripped leggings, although I do feel like I'd be constantly pulling strings and fur out from the sweater, but it'd be worth it bouncing around looking like a little rabbit in this sweater.
Skirts, skirts, and more skirts. I honestly want some in every color. Lately, all I've been finding in stores are this tight bandage skirts, which I'm so over, and all I crave are these flouncy bouncy flirty skirts, in some fantastic colors like red (link)and yellow (link).

Sweet in Pink

Hopefully this California winter is officially over and I can fully transition into shorts and flowy summery tops, like I did in this outfit. This pretty pink top is just a hodgepodge of all sorts of trends: the awkward (in my opinion) mini cowl neck, sheer material which is kind of hidden in the pictures, dolman sleeves or as I like to call them my bat wings, the high low cut in a not-as-exaggerated fashion, and my favorite part: it's completely lace in the back.

Wanted: Sheer Blouses

I'm sure most of you have seen the infamous, ubiquitous sheer blouses, particularly ones with embellished collars. I simply love the contrast between the sweetness of the polite button up blouse, and the boldness of the sheer, revealing material. They're a little bit outside my comfort zone and every time I go shopping, I simply can't find them; so instead, I scavenged online shops for these delicate, versatile, absolutely beautiful blouses.
One. One of the more simple tops, this white sheer blouse has intricate studs on the collar. You could pair this up with a dark pair of jeans to keep with the edgy vibe or a pink pleated skirt to contrast it.

Two. This pink patterned blouse with subtle ruffles from the recent Jason Wu for Target collection is the epitome of a girly work outfit. It's so simple and classy.
Three. This one from Yes Style is completely sheer, but looks very intricate with a tank top under and a bright colored bandage skirt over it. So, next time I'm shopping, I'll definitely be on the look out for these incredible sheer blouses that have just been everywhere and on everyone. What about you?

Pastel Sunshine

Hope you spent your Valentine's Day with your loved ones.
I absolutely love the bright easter colors in this outfit. Not only is it super comfortable and completely 'me' with the bow belt and white flouncy skirt, but I finally found a way to incorporate my pink converse that rarely come out of my closet since they're not quite as versatile as my black pairs. It's either wear it with a matching pink color, which my closet lacks very many options of, or wear neutral colors with the shoes as a pop of color. Anyway, I paired them with this houndstooth print scarf and gold accessories.

Dark Greens

Most of the time, this is pretty much how I dress: very neutral basic colors with one splash of color, in this case, a mesmerizing dark forest green, one of my favorite colors to wear. I wore all black: black cozy jacket with an asymmetrical zipper (we all know how much everyone loves asymmetrical things right now, like the skirts with the high low hemline), a ruffled skirt, and black tights.

Panda in the Sea

A simple casual school outfit, featuring an adorbs panda shirt, a simple striped cardigan with a thick jacket layered over it, and my sky blue babies (my converse). For someone who wears sneakers so much, it would only make sense to have multiple in all sorts of colors. hehe.

Red Riding Hood

Pairing a grey cardigan over a thick knitted sweater dress with a lovely hood, again going with that hooded trend I have become enamored with, I also layered my black miniskirt over the sweater dress, turning it into a casual top. I mostly enjoy the back of the look, because the adorable red hood and the perfect corresponding lengths of the cardigan and skirt.
